Weight Loss For Life has been developed with the view that not all people are the same and that people gain different amounts of weight for different reasons. Our mission therefore, is to provide each person with the tools to develop an individualised unique weight loss plan resulting in long term weight loss, improved health and happiness.

Weight Loss For Life may be conducted as a ten week programme consisting of 1½ - 2 hours per week, a two day workshop or as a one to one session. The focus of this programme is the production of individual long term sustainable changes/solutions to achieve weight loss.

The Weight Loss for Life program includes:

• Working with individual personalities, tastes and life circumstances to create sustainable lifestyle changes to achieve long-term weight loss.

• Giving individuals the opportunity to chat about what they find helpful or difficult so that group members can help each other

• Helping participants gain knowledge on physical activity motivation and the rising levels of obesity to improve their understanding of the body, weight loss and weight gain. If we do not know why we are overweight how do we know what to do to lose weight.

• An Action Booklet containing information on diets and nutrition, physical activity, motivation, self control and more. It also contains pages for you to add your own unique strategy to lose weight and keep it of for life.

• Information on nutrition and how to make convenient healthy meals that can be prepared quickly that all the family will eat

TEN WEEK PROGRAMME


Each session lasts 1½ hours and is conducted in a small group setting. Across the ten weeks clients are provided with all they need including an Action Logbook to enable them to achieve Weight Loss for Life without the need to attend classes for many months and return to them year after year!

It is not necessary to start session one you can start anytime and continue until you have completed all ten sessions

In addition to the ten week programme Weight Loss FOR LIFE conducts monthly support groups for those who feel they would like further support

Note: Programme times and venues can be negotiated and a new group started, although a minimum of ten participants is required, and is subject to the availability of a suitable venue.

TWO DAY WORKSHOP

The two day workshop has the same content as the ten week programme including provision of a Action Logbook. The programme is arranged over two days, this can be two days together such as at the weekend or two seperate days for example two consecutive Monday's. Weekend programmes are also subject to a minimum of ten people and a suitable venue

Weekend progammes are also available in other parts of the country therefore even if you are not from the North East please email your enquiries to Weight Loss For Life so that weekend programmes can be made available in your area

ONE TO ONE SESSIONS

The one to one sessions are for those who prefer to seek advice in a more private setting. This is a highly individual approach to weight loss. Sessions are usually conducted for one hour. Individuals may purchase the Action Logbook.
