Weight Loss for Life is an individualised, practical, realistic approach to
weight loss and health




TEN WEEK PROGRAMME

Each session lasts 1½ hours and is conducted in small groups to allow time for interaction within the group for sharing tips, ideas and difficulties. Across the ten weeks clients are provided with all the tools they need to lose weight and maintain the lost weight for life.
Different topics are discussed each week to help you to lose weight, examples of topics are listed below:

    Healthy meals for when you're in a hurry and for when you have more time
    Healthy foods and healthy cooking tips
    Metabolic rate and how you can speed it up
    Motivation
    How to fit exercise into your life
    The benefits of exercise
    Self image
    Temptation and how to have treats without putting weight back on
    Health and being overweight
    Why are we overweight?
    Barriers to weight loss, are you finding it difficult to lose weight?
    Crash dieting, does it really work?
    Department of Health dietary guidelines
    Are genetics to blame?
    Different types of diets
    Slow and fast weight loss
    Why do I want to lose weight?

The programme includs an Action Logbook containing all programme information in and a space for each participant to add their own unique weight loss programme.

It is not necessary to start at session one. You can start anytime and continue until you have completed all ten sessions.

In addition to the ten week programme Weight Loss FOR LIFE conducts monthly support groups for those who feel they would like further support.

Note: Programme times and venues can be negotiated. New groups require a minimum of ten participants and can only be run subject to availability of a suitable venue..


TWO DAY WORKSHOP

The two day workshop has the same content as the ten week programme including provision of an Action Logbook. Whilst the programme is arranged over two days, this can be two days together, such as at the weekend, or two separate days, for example two consecutive Monday's. Weekend programmes are also subject to a minimum of ten people and a suitable venue.

Weekend progammes are also available in other parts of the country. therefore even if you are not from the North East please email your enquiries to Weight Loss FOR LIFE so that weekend programmes can be made available in your area.
Why not get together with your partner, family and/or friends and have a health weekend.


ONE TO ONE SESSIONS

The one to one sessions are for those who prefer to seek advice in a more private setting. This is a highly individual approach to weight loss. Sessions are usually conducted for one hour. Individuals may purchase the Action Logbook.
